Singer, songwriter and pianist Daniel Roos (1987) was born in the Netherlands. Inspired by artists like Billy Joel, Elton John, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, he makes soulful piano based pop/rock. However, Daniel started his music career as a member of a hiphop live band with which he won a national talent-competition in 2007, after which the group went on tour in South Africa. This travel inspired Daniel to write and record the independently released album A New Time (2009) for which he cooperated with artists such as background singer Jim Gilstrap (i.a. Stevie Wonder), ex BeeGees guitarist Vince Melouney and Defunkt frontman and trombonist Joseph Bowie.

From 2009 on, Daniel focused mostly on composing and producing music for theatre and film productions and he joined the popular Dutch comedian Sjaak Bral and his band on tour through Holland. In 2011 he produced his own theatre show Inmusication: a musical theatre piece that combined live music with film, dance and spoken word/ poetry. A recording of this show was independently released as a live cd/dvd.

Since 2012 Daniel regularly tours together with comedian Sjaak Bral, musically accompanying him for his yearly Sylvester shows. Some of the songs they wrote over the last years were recorded for the cd Liedjes van Vaarwel (2015). Furthermore, Daniel frequently performs at Switzerland's number one 4-star city-hotel, Art Deco Hotel Montana in Lucerne, playing everything from old and modern day pop songs and jazz standards to film scores, blues and improvisation.

In 2014 Daniel’s first EP Blues Child came out, which received positive reviews in Holland, quoting “excellent piano playing and a soulful voice timbre” and “five strong compositions, sung convincingly and with great feeling”. In December 2015 his second EP Come Hell or High Water - recorded with band - was released.

A new full length album, Catching Waves, is due for release in November 2017.
